About the Strip

The Grand Bend Strip was a community newspaper covering Grand Bend and the surrounding lakeshore villages — Crediton, Dashwood, Exeter, Mount Carmel, Parkhill, Port Franks, St. Joseph and Zurich. Casey Lessard founded, edited, photographed and published it from May 2007 until July 2010, fifty-five editions in all. It was a finalist for Ontario's best small newspaper in 2010.

This site is the permanent archive. Nothing more will be published; the editions and stories here are what there is. Every page of every print edition can be read in full.
